FASTHound Greyhound Adoption located in Seminole, Oklahoma was formed by a group of individuals committed to the placement of retired racing greyhounds into loving 'forever' homes.

We are an all volunteer, non-profit, all donation group and we do not charge dues for membership.

Our board members have over 15 years combined experience in re-homing retired racing greyhounds.

Jessica adopted her first greyhound Bavarian in 2002. She is pictured here 'snuggled up' to her greyhound Noah who recentely crossed the rainbow bridge at the age of 11.

Jessica served as a foster and as an event volunteer with another greyhound group before starting FASTHound.

"We are committed to making greyhounds available for adoption in the rural Oklahoma areas previously not administered too by the existing adoption groups" says Jessica. "Everyone deserves the chance to have one of these wonderful canine companions."
Nikki Ortman
Vice President - Foster Coordinator

Nikki nerved as a foster and as the foster coordinator for two greyhound adopiton groups in San Antonio, Texas prior to relocating to Oklahoma and joining forces with FASTHound Greyhound Adoption.

She is pictured here with Kabuki her female greyhound that she adopted in 1999.

"The greyhound personality" says Nikki "is generaly laid back, they are not pushy for attention like most breeds of dog." "It's like the best of both worlds" she says, "like having a canine cat." Kabuki shares her home with a German Shephard, a Corgi and a cat.
Paul Oratowski
Treasurer - Fund raising Director

email paul@fasthound.org

Paul served as a foster, event coordinator, fund raising chairperson and as a board member for a San Antonio based adoption group for several years before coming to Oklahoma with his greyhounds Farah - adopted in 2001, Choppy - adopted in 2004 and Kale adopted in 2003.

He is pictured here with his greyhounds Kale (front) and Choppy. "I was lucky enough to get Kale at the tender age of 6 weeks" says Paul. Kale was born with a slight deformity in his legs that would not allow him to have a career in racing. "You would never know it now" Paul says, "he is active, perfectly healthy and romps with his sisters like no bodies business."

According to Paul, "Once you meet these exceptionaly loving creatures you won't be able to resist them."

Even if you can't adopt a Greyhound of your own, our foster program allows you to enjoy them without the long term committment that comes with adoption.

"There is no feeling like the one I get when a foster goes home with his forever family" says Paul. "I remember each and every one of the 130 plus greyhounds that I have fostered over the years, and each of them holds a special place in my heart."
