FOSTER: Newly retired Greyhounds are placed into foster homes where they learn to appreciate indoor life as a pet. It is the foster family who provides the newly retired Greyhound with their first taste of home life. Additional foster families are always needed and are an integral part of the adoption process. If you would love to have a Greyhound but are unable to make the long term or financial committment of adoption, fostering is for you. Just download an application and mail it to us at the address on the application.

Once we receive the completed application we will call you to schedule an appointment at your home to discuss the fostering experience to see if it is right for you.

VOLUNTEER FOR A COMMITTEE: Contact us by phone at (405) 205-7935 or e-mail us at volunteer@fasthound.org to become a volunteer. We are always looking for new people with greyt ideas to help out in the following areas:

• Fund raising - Our volunteers get involved in every aspect of the fund raising process, from addressing envelopes for donation requests to organizing events such as dog washes.
• Show-n-tail / festival - Volunteers are responsible for maintining hold of the greyhounds leashes while visitors meet them, allowing us to answer questions, take applications and work one on one with potential adopters and fosters.
• Event Planning - Volunteers work on sub committees organizing events such as our annual picnic, contacting organizations to set up informational seminars, and scheduling new Show-n-Tail and festival events.
• Hound Transport - Drivers are always needed to get Greyhounds to show-n-tails and festivals, veterinary appointments, and to their foster and forever homes.
